Around The World: Amsterdam - city of flowers, marihuana and... sex

I was told to be really lucky to visit Amsterdam in March while the sun is shining and many people wear just T-shirts! It almost never happens at this time of the year! Awesome weather indeed. Trees starting to blossom, ducks swimming in the river, people having coffee on the terrace... Nice view!

And the smell... the smell of marihuana everywhere. (Yes, admit it, you were waiting for this ;-))
Actually nobody is surprised, maybe except the ones coming here for the first time. Because in the Netherlands almost everything is legal and the Dutch people are proud of it. Bear in mind they don't always try what is legal out there. I've been told, for instance, that the Dutch do not usually smoke weed. It is us, the tourists. Coming here and getting crazy. Sounds logical, as usually most of the "nice things which you can do in the Netherlands" are forbidden in your own country!
So you will spot thousands of coffeeshops, hundreds of girls standing behind the windows in the Red Light district and... many many many happy tourists.

But Amsterdam is not only about craziness. It is a lovely city, cut by canals and bridges. City of trams, stylish vespas and million bikes. City of flowers and beautiful people. City of tasty beer and amazing fries. Yes, you CAN relax here...
